John Ellison 6 May 1785 stole from the dwelling house of Henry Edwards in the parish of Coedana 62 pieces of gold coin called guineas value £65.2.-. the property of Henry Edwards and 1 silver watch, value £4.4.-, the property of Edward Williams. (WALES 4/255/1).  Ellis was still in gaol unreprieved at the Easter Quarter Session 25 April 1786 when the gaoler claimed his dieting (QS Order Book).  Hanged May 1786 (BGE).
